Driving to us from the UK

If you’re driving to Manot from the UK, we have found the best combination of speed and good value is  to take the ferry from Dover to Calais, and drive from there. Booking your ferry sooner is always better value.

For a slightly faster option compare this with taking Eurotunnel instead of the ferry.

Use the map opposite to plan your directions.  Please be aware that there is no sat nav postcode as such; you will need to use ‘La Goutrie D16500, Manot’.

Be aware that many of the routes on the journey are toll roads. So prepare to have your Euros or credit/debit card ready in the car!

In all, we usually allow a whole day to get from the UK to Manot. Leaving early in the morning for a 6am crossing can usually have you arriving in time for a well-deserved evening glass of wine around 6pm.

Flights to Limoges (nearest airport)

Flybe and Ryanair fly from the UK to Limoges-Bellgarde airport (code:  LIG).

Trains to Limoges (nearest major train station)

The train tends to be a relatively expensive option, however is possibly more comfortable than the car option as nobody need drive! To organise your journey go to the Eurostar website.

Don’t forget the area is best explored with a car, so don’t forget to organise a hire car at the other end.
